Brewing craft beer has been my undying passion for many years. As most brewers begin their careers, I was gifted a beer brewing kit and was immediately enamored with the process--honing my technical skills, discovering new styles of beer, and creating my own recipes.

Everything about it left me captivated; the research and development, the creative experimentation, the brewing and fermentation process, and the end result combined to create an experience far more powerful than any I could have imagined. I have been chasing this excitement ever since. It’s no wonder my passion is becoming my profession.

Why Guilded Horn you ask? Cornucopia, also known as the Horn Of Plenty, dates back to ancient Greece and symbolizes abundance.The motif originated as a curved goat’s horn overflowing with grain and fruit. It is emblematic of the horn possessed by Zeus’s nurse, the Greek nymph Amalthaea. In our story, the horn is filled with grains, hops, and yeast (beer) and is used to nourish all those that drink from the vessel. As the liquid overflows, the horn appears to be gilded...hence the name, Guilded Horn. The spelling is a nod to Dr. John’s song I Walk on Guilded Splinters, which is based on a traditional voodoo church song.
